Here’s how it works:
If Utility Warehouse is your current supplier, you’ll have to notify them at least 28 days in advance that you’re moving – don’t worry, they have a dedicated team to help you with that. And then you’ll need to decide whether you’re taking them with you as your supplier.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Notify Utility Warehouse that you’re moving
Contact Utility Warehouse on 0333 777 0777 or by filling in the online form (marked “moving home”) on their website’s contacts page. You’ll need to do this at least 21 days in advance of your move to take your landline and broadband services to your new address. Your energy services might take even longer to activate (depending on whether Utility Warehouse is already active at the new address), so maybe plan to notify them at least 28 days ahead of your move.
Step 2: Give them all the necessary info about your move
The Utility Warehouse home-movers team will need to know: The new address you’re moving to and when you’re moving in. The date you’re moving out of your current address and, for energy supply, your closing meter readings – here’s how to read your smart meter and non-smart meter.
2. MOVING INTO A HOUSE WITH UTILITY WAREHOUSE – NEW CUSTOMER
As a new customer, activating your Utility Warehouse service is super easy – especially if your new home is already supplied.
Step 1: Contact Utility Warehouse to join
Phone their dedicated new customer’s line at 0333 777 3212, or join online. Now, Utility Warehouse works with partners, which help service their customers. If you’re joining through a partner, they’ll actually help get you set up. If not, just tick the “I’m not with a partner” option and you’ll be able to register yourself for their services.
Step 2: Choose your service
Next, you just choose your bundle of services and supply Utility Warehouse with the necessary details about yourself, and they’ll get you set up in your new home.
3. MOVING OUT AND CLOSING YOUR UTILITY WAREHOUSE ACCOUNT
Although they’ll gladly negotiate products and prices to keep you on board, if you really want to move without your service the best way is to actually contact your new suppliers and have them arrange the switch for you. Note: It can take up to 21 days to switch your energy supply, so Utility Warehouse will need your meter readings, so they can run an interim account for the duration of the switching period and send you a final bill to close it off.

Often, yes, but the amount of savings depends on your bundle. Just taking energy supply with Utility Warehouse is normally around 0.5% cheaper than the top 6 competitors in the industry. If you add broadband and a landline, your energy is 2.5% cheaper. And if you add mobile, it could be up to 5% cheaper.
