Guildford is a town found in Surrey, that is just 28 miles southwest of London. It has a population of around 80,000. There are a lot of famous people in Guildford’s history, such as George Abbot, Archbishop of Canterbury, the world-famous children’s author Lewis Carroll, Yvonne Arnaud, a notable French actress and Alan Turing, the Enigma codebreaker and father of theoretical computer science. Statues are found around the town commemorating them.
