Godalming is a stunning historic market town in Surrey. It is about 4 miles south-west of Guildford and around 30 miles south-west of London. In 2007 it was voted the fourth best UK area to live in. Godalming is extremely popular for commuters, as there are easy transport links into London via both the A3 and the towns train station which has direct trains into London Waterloo that take around 42 minutes. Godalming is also well connected to the M25 and the A3 that can take you into London and down to the South Coast. For foreign travel, the town is situated between both Gatwick and Heathrow airports, both of which are just a short drive away.
