Farnham is a beautiful market town in the county of Surrey. The town is around 35 miles south-west of London and borders with Hampshire. Farnham is the largest town in Waverley and has a lot of history, with many old buildings, including Georgian Houses. Overlooking the town is Farnham Castle and south-east of the town centre you will find the ruins of Waverley Abbey and the Mother Ludham’s Cave. Farnham is twinned with Andernach, a town in Germany. Farnham was named the fourth happiest place to live in Surrey by Rightmove’s happiness at home index in December 2019.
There are some fantastic transport links out of Farnham, with their very own train station operating trains to Waterloo for under an hour and frequent trains to Guildford taking just 30 minutes. Farnham has access to the A3, so travelling by bus or car can get you to the nearby areas of Goldalming, Leatherhead, Reigate and Walton-on-Thames, quickly and easily. When wanting to catch a plane, residents have two nearby options to choose from, Gatwick Airport, which is just under an hour away or Heathrow which is only a 40 minutes drive.
