Dorset is a county found in the South-West of England and is located on the English Channel coast. It contains the areas of Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, and Dorset. Dorset boarders Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, and Hampshire. The population of Dorset has increased over the past years, due to families wanting to escape London and live a more peaceful, less costly life. For quite a rural county, Dorset has a healthy economy and now is home to hundreds of small businesses, which provide a lot of employment opportunities to its residents. The tourism industry in Dorset is also bustling and brings in a lot of money for the area.
Dorset does not have any cities in it; however, the transport links are fantastic. Most towns in Dorset have a train station which can connect the residents to nearby areas. There is a direct line from London Waterloo to Weymouth that calls at Bournemouth, Poole, Wareham, and Dorchester. Bournemouth also has its very own airport and there are also some well-connected ports at Poole and Weymouth.
