Sandhurst is a small town that is found in South-East Berkshire, in the Borough of Bracknell Forest. It is about 33 miles South-West of central London. It is most famously known as the location of the Royal Military Academy. Sandhurst’s name was given to it because of the sandy soils of the area. The town itself consists of four main districts, Little Sandhurst, Sandhurst and College Town, and Owlsmoor to the northeast. South of Sandhurst is bordered by the River Blackwater, and many of the Yateley Lakes, including Trilakes with its country park.
Sandhurst is only 30 minutes away from Reading by car or 20 minutes by train. From Sandhurst station you can get to London Paddington in just 53 minutes.
